MAN HURT IN EASTERN RIOTS.
Brooklyn Traction Company's Cars
Run Under Guard.
-----
New York, Aug. 7.--The Coney Is-
land and Brooklyn Railroad Company
ran half empty cars nine hours Sun-
day between 20-mile lines of 1,200
policemen. As a result of the attend-
ant riots, four persons were in the
hospital, one of them probably mor-
tally hurt; perhaps 40 more are suf-
fering from effects of stones and
brickbats, and 25 strikers and their
sympathizers are under arrest.
As the day advanced the crowds
became uglier, and double crews were
placed upon all cars on the three lines
affected by the strike. More than a
dozen cars were pelted with missles,
and in each case blood was shed. Mrs.
Lena Weisengrum of Yonkers, a pas-
senger, was taken to a hospital, prob-
ably with a fractured skull, after one
of the attacks. About a dozen per-
sons were rendered unconscious by
flying stones, while many more sus-
taining lacerations and bruises.

The readers of this paper will be
pleased to learn that there is at least
one dreaded disease that science has
been able to cure in all its stages,
and that is Catarrh. Hall's Catarrah
Cure is the only positive cure now
known to the medical fraternity.
Catarrh being a constitutional dis-
ease, requires a constitutional treat-
ment. Hall's Catarrh Cure is taken
internally, acting directly upon the
blood and mucous surfaces of the sy-
stem, thereby destroying the found-
ation of the disease, and giving the
patient strength by building up the
constitution and assisting nature in
doing its work. The proprietors
have so much faith in its curative
powers that they offer One Hundred
Dollars for any case that fails to
cure. Send of list of testimonials.
