Greg Nelson Attends NGS Institute

LINCOLN - Greg Nelson, a social studies teacher at Pound Junior High School here, is one of five teachers from Nebraska attending the National Geographic Society Summer Geography Institute in Washington, D.C.

The 70-plus teachers at the Institute will participate in field trips to Richmond, Staunton, Petersburg, Virginia Beach and Chincoteague.

Nelson also has served as the logistic coordinator for the Geographic Educators of Nebraska Institute.

His parents are Byron and Marie Nelson of Alliance.
